Data Source

Shot data is sourced from MoneyPuck, which publishes NHL play-by-play-derived statistics for public and educational use. The dataset covers every shot attempt — goals, shots on goal, and missed shots — for seasons 2007 through 2025, with arena-adjusted rink coordinates so every rink lines up on the same axis. Downloads and full documentation are available on the MoneyPuck data page.
